Job Details

Access Hollywood is looking to build out a team of video preditors for expansion of short-form video. The right candidate for this job can work very fast and feels comfortable working under a tight daily deadline. We are looking for someone with experience in news, celebrity news or promos. You must be able to produce glossy, fun videos utilizing music, motion and effects.

 

Responsibilities:

Work with the Access Hollywood Managing Editor and other preditors to develop, produce, shoot and edit digital videos and the posting of the videos on 3rd party video partners; YouTube, AOL, Hulu, etc.,  various social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, & Snapchat and on accesshollywood.com

Build graphics, edit short-form video, and select music.
Work closely with on-air producers, news, hosts and the Managing Editor.
Will oversee the uploading of videos and maintaining the upload schedule under the guidance and direction of the Managing Editor.
Optimizes all new content on the Access Hollywood digital platforms by:

                                Ensuring the videos have proper annotations;

                                Incorporating proper tags, titles and descriptions;

                                Keeping description links up-to-date and adjusting                                   featured content links accordingly;

                                Including proper thumbnails; and

                                Inserting video into any appropriate playlist. 

Provides creative input to the on-air teams for the Access Hollywood digital platforms to maximize the performance of the video content on the platform.

Able to write video headlines and accompanying copy overlaid on to video.

Uses web and social media reporting tools to update Access Hollywood digital platforms and other digital products based on user data.

Ensure consistent brand positioning and marketing messaging.

 

Qualifications:

 

 

Candidate will have Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Multimedia, Marketing, Communications, or 2 to 3 years of equivalent work experience as an AVID Video Editor/Producer. 

Must have ability to work on AVID non-linear editing platform.  

Must have experience with other video editing software tool such as Adobe Premier and After Effects.

Must have 2 to 3 years experience working with Video Content Management Systems and understand principals of encoding and transcoding.

Must have good writing skills and excellent attention to detail.

Eligibility Requirements:

Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA

Must be willing to work afternoons into late evening time periods

Must be willing to work a weekend day shift once a month

Must have work authorization to work in the United States

Must be 18 years or older

 

Desired Characteristics:

Previous work experience for a commercial online service in television or film and/or digital media agency is preferred.

Prior experience with YouTube and Brightcove preferred.

Prior experience in journalism and the entertainment industry preferred.

Experience in entertainment news a plus.

Looking for a candidate with original and exciting style; A reel with samples of work a plus.

Able to work independently, often alone in the office, and be able to make editorial decisions that are on message for the show’s brand.

Strong sense of pacing and music. Able to take video, photos and a script and turn it into a fast-paced glossy video.

Proficiency with Adobe Premiere suite, After Effects -Graphics -Be able to do effects with motion.

Strong knowledge of Photoshop.

Work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
