The Legacy International Center in San Diego, CA is hiring a full-time Entertainment Planning and Talent Booking (EPTB) Coordinator. We are hiring staff now to assist us in preparing for our Grand Opening in December 2019. This position reports to the Sr. Vice President of Event Services.

The EPTB Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of planning and booking events and other activities at the Legacy Center to maximize the utilization of Legacy Center campus for entertainment, education, and other forms of outreach. This includes: booking talent, films, musical acts, productions and other activities, scheduling, planning, and marketing events throughout the campus (e.g. 500-seat performing arts theater, conference, meeting and banquet spaces, garden, plaza and other outdoor spaces). This requires effective interface and collaboration with staff members of the Legacy Center Foundation, Morris Cerullo World Evangelism (MCWE), Legacy Resort Hotel, and outside parties who lease the venue.


Events –

  • Imagines, develops, and implements original programming for the theater and events spaces at the Legacy Center – including performance and musical talent.
  • Works in conjunction with the MCWE Event Services team to ensure that all MCWE ministry-sponsored events are provided priority scheduling and venue placement.
  • Works in collaboration with the Legacy Center Foundation, MCWE Event Services team and the Legacy Resort Hotel to maintain a shared events calendar for all Legacy Center event locations (e.g. 500-seat performing arts theater, conference, meeting and banquet spaces, gardens, plaza, and other outdoor spaces).
  • Liaises with MCWE and Legacy Hotel events staff before, during and after events.
  • Initiates contact with and builds relationships with movie distributors to book and manage first-run films.
  • Initiates contact with and builds relationships with music and theatrical talent agencies and artists to book and manage live performances.
  • Initiates contact with and builds relationships with community groups, the Chamber of Commerce, Departments of Tourism, Economic Development Departments, business and political leaders, community theater organizations, schools, ministries, churches and other local or remote businesses to encourage them to utilize the Legacy Center campus to host their events.
  • Coordinates with Legacy Resort Hotel management regarding holiday celebrations and corporate events.

Administration –

  • Leads and attends meetings.
  • Compiles reports and statistics weekly and on an as needed basis.
  • Coordinates with Legacy Center Foundation and MCWE Departments to ensure that marketing strategies for each event are developed and executed (e.g. publications, TV/Radio spots, billboards, etc.).
  • Attendance at MCWE Chapel and other employee meetings and events is required.
  • And, other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Administration, Communications or relevant industry experience preferred
  • 5 years of experience event planning or venue management preferred
  • Basic math and budgeting proficiency is required
  • Midlevel proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)


  • Ability to work constructively and cooperatively with diverse groups and individuals
  • Well-developed presentation and communication skills (e.g. in person, on the phone, and through all forms of written correspondence)
  • Ability to follow written or verbal instructions and complete work accurately, thoroughly while meeting tight deadlines with minimal supervisory oversight
  • Creative, energetic, and personable
  • Excellent attention to detail and double checking work to minimize errors
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the mission and vision of the Legacy Center
  • Spiritual and emotional maturity

  • Must maintain confidentiality, be able to work the assigned schedule and fulfill travel requirements.

Full-time, exempt position. Work hours are event planning dependent. Legacy Administrative office hours are 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Alternate work days and hours will be required to support the planning and execution of events that will occur outside of office hours. Must be able to work nights, holidays and weekends, as needed.


Occasional travel may be required to support department initiatives and Legacy Center events.

This job operates on a large campus with multi-story buildings and uneven outdoor areas (e.g. steps, ramps, and gardens) that are open to the elements and changing weather conditions. This position requires regular interaction with staff and members of the public and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Noise levels will occasionally be high due to equipment, movies, musical and theatrical performances, and other factors.


  • This position requires the ability to navigate throughout a large campus with indoor and outdoor work and event spaces.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move objects 15 lbs.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally bend or balance.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
  • Must be able to fulfill all travel requirements, including: transporting luggage and other materials, as well as, utilizing any means of transportation required (e.g. vehicle, train, plane, etc.). Set up fixtures/tables/chairs and merchandise items for displays at events.
