The Position

Working closely with the network’s leadership, the Vice President of Entertainment Publicity has overall responsibility for developing and executing all consumer- focused publicity efforts to promote Telemundo’s and Universo’s entertaiment content and talent across all platforms. With the ultimate goal of growing the brand and meeting viewership goals, the Vice President will lead a team of experienced publicists and build strong relationships with Telemundo Global Studios and the networks’ Programming, Talent and Marketing teams. The Vice President will also be charged with leading all digital publicity efforts working closely with the Marketing and Digital media departments. This position requires  a proactive and energizing leader with experience in managing multiple publicity campaigns across all platforms with a clear understanding of the business  and a unique strategic and creative view.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Strong relationships with US Hispanic and general market consumer media
  • Experience in Digital Publicity and Influencers Strategy required
  • Strong writing and editing skills in English and Spanish
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and effectively manage strong working relationships with executives and talent
  • Strategic, energized thinker with a big picture mentality, able to align department to overall business goals
  • Ability to manage administrative duties, departmental budgets and maintain corporate obligations
  • Proven ability to lead, manage and energize team
  • Highly effective interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to maintain discretion and manage confidential information
  • Flexible self-starter who is punctual and attentive to details
  • Must have strong multi-tasking ability and be an excellent and aggressive communicator
  • Must be a quick thinker and have ability to execute rapidly
  • Superior organization and innovative thinking
  • Flexible work schedule with some late nights and weekend work required to cover tapings, shoots and events and frequent travel
  • Familiarity with social media platforms - operation, analytics, etc.
  • Experience and understanding of PR measurement tools

 The Person

  •  10+ years of communications experience in the Media or Entertainment industry
  • B.S./B.A. Degree in journalism, corporate communication, PR, Business
  • Fully bilingual with strong writing and editing skills in English and Spanish
